Layesha Walton

Layesha N. Walton holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications/PR. She has been happily married to Randol Walton for 18 years. They have three beautiful children and they live in Tampa, FL. Layesha was ordained as a minister of the gospel on June 9, 2013 and elevated to Provisional Elder on December 8, 2018 under the leadership of Bishop McMillan, Senior Pastor of New Dawn Restoration Center.

​At age 8, Layesha began studying at Ballet Etude (Miami, FL) and continued her studies at the Inner City Touring Dance Center, Miami Northwestern's Performing and Visual Arts Center, and The Alvin Ailey American Dance Center (Summer Intensive Professional Women’s Division) located in New York City. Layesha had an extensive training and a performance career for over 20 years. After receiving Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, she gave up dancing for entertainment, only to have Him give it back to her as a tool of ministry and evangelism.

​Layesha and her husband, Randol, are the founders of the former Music & Dance Unto the Lord conference, which was held in Tampa, FL for 15 consecutive years. Layesha is also the founder and director of Divine Inspiration Ministries, and Anointed to Dance Inc. Currently, through Anointed to Dance, Layesha conducts Christian dance classes/workshops, seminars, choreography, and ministry presentations nationally and internationally. Her dance background includes Ballet, Modern, and Jazz. Her dance training has led her to host, serve, and minister at many dance intensives, summits, conferences, workshops, retreats, and various worship services, all to the glory of God! Layesha has authored Dancing My Testimony, The GIFT Inside, INTIMACY: Into Me You See, Dreams, Goals, & Visions, and co-authored Every Knee Shall Bow: A Literary Treasury for the Advancement of the Arts in Worship.

If you ask Layesha who she really is, she will tell you how much she loves the Lord, her husband, children, spending time with family and friends, laughing, and opportunities to encourage others. Layesha’s ministry goal is to lead people to Jesus Christ, through His Word and divinely inspired creativity.
